Summary
These contain polyunsaturated fatty acids – Omega 3’s
Omega 3’s have a variety of potencies, but the two most effective are EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA’a (Docosahexanoic acid). Fish Oil, Omega 3’s boost the immune system, assist in the regulation of blood pressure and blood clotting.
They may improve concentration and memory. Fish oils increase levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin – so may have a similar effect to taking antidepressants.
Causes LDL (good) cholesterol which protects against deposits of plaque that can block critical blood vessels and cause myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) and strokes.

6000mg daily for Rheumatoid arthritis. 5000mg daily for inflammatory bowel disease. 3000mg daily for heart disease, raynauds, lupus and psoriasis.
Possible Side Effects
Belching, flatulence and bloating. Very high doses may cause nausea and a fishy body odour.
Contra Indications
Not suitable if you are diabetic as it hinders effective sugar level control.
Not suitable if you are pregnant.
Those with high triglyceride levels and elevated LDL (bad) cholesterol should avoid fish oils or take garlic capsules as well to reverse the effects.
Do not take up to 2 days before surgery or if you have a blood disorder and are taking anticoagulants – as Omega 3’s inhibit blood clotting.
